Application:

Confocal scanner for fluorescent/bio microscope, which is compatible with Nikon, Leica and Olympus.

Challenge:

Customer wanted to replace existing optical system with a more cost effective optical system with higher resolution and magnification.

Navitar Solution:

Navitar provided a 12X Zoom, non fine focus system with a 2X adapter. The resolution of 9-2 microns and 1.6-14X magnification were improvements over the previous lens system used by the customer. The Navitar system is modular, so magnification can easily be changed. The system is eyepiece/CCD compatible and was provided for nearly 1/3 the cost of the customer's old optical system.
