The body tube is the "heart" of the Precise Eye. It contains the "taking lens" which starts the imaging process, and may also contain a focusing motion and coaxial illumination. Standard lens attachments may be added to modify working distances and magnifications.

The tubes are available in three basic configurations:
  • Ultra - for use with infinity corrected microscope objectives, providing high mag, high resolution performance.
  • Standard – nominal 92mm working distance, 1.8X mag, with the ability to modify with standard lens attachments and adapters.
  • Right Angle – a "bent" version of the Standard.
